ANALYSIS OF ENGLISH TEXTBOOK FOR FIFTH GRADE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

چکیده

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the English language textbook from Ministry Education and Culture (MOEC) for grade 5 Elementary School Level, entitled “My Next Word 5”. As an evaluation method, content-analysis was used in study. To book, researchers adapt instrument Minister Regulation Number 8 2016 book Cunnings worth (1995); (1) Materials, (2) Language (3) Materials presenting (4) Graphic. a result evaluation, it found that suitable learners materials, i.e., there topic relevant with curriculum, content more practical so can improve students’ skills, reflection table student on last page every page. This meets criteria, but are few things could be improved, such as presentation culture balanced being studied.
